The Autism Center is a Service of Ragusa A.S.P. headed by the Advanced Operative Unit of Child Neuropsychiatry.

Activity

The Team of the Service takes charge of minors (between the ages of 1 and 6), and, after diagnosis formulation, it plans early-intensive treatments, which can be either conducted in the Autism Center or in public or affiliated facilities.

Early-intensive interventions involve six-month treatment cycles, in compliance with the Guidelines issued by the Italian National Institute of Health, with the active involvement of parents and caregivers.

The Center also ensures home-based interventions aimed at parent training and interventions in schools aimed at children’s school inclusion, in a perspective of global care of the minors.
