Emergency Medical Services
Urgent medical assistance on the territory can be requested by calling from any type of telephone, also from mobiles, the emergency telephone number 118.
118 has to be called in any supposed or certain life-threatening situation (severe illness, accidents etc.).
The service is free of charge and is available 24 hours a day. The phone call is always free of charge.
During the phone call it is necessary to communicate, as calmly and precisely as possible:
- One's own identity;
- What has happened;
- The location of the emergency;
- The number of the people involved;
- It is also necessary to answer to the questions of the Operations Center;
The Operations Center will dispatch the adequate type of assistance from the nearest position to the emergency location, and will send the ambulance with the patient in the most appropriate place in order to continue medical treatment.
