The Patients Registry Office ensures all the population, who is divided according to the District and to territorial areas, the assignment and the change of general practitioners and pediatricians, in compliance with the regulations in force.

From the 1st of July 2021, the new online change service for the choice of a general practitioner is available at A.S.P. Ragusa, together with the related user guide, in order to support users in choosing a general practitioner.
In order to access to the “Online change of General Practitioner” service, it is necessary to register and access the “Online Services” section of the website www.asp.rg.it
In the “Online Services” section, click on the desired service, in this case “Online change of General Practitioner”. The online service can be also used on mobiles.
In order to register, users are required to enter their data: tax code, mobile number and email.
New registration and choice of a doctor
Entitled citizens can choose a doctor for themselves, their spouses and their minor family members; a proxy is required in the case of family members over the age of majority. Doctors have to be chosen among those registered in patient’s Territorial Area of residence, within the limits of the maximum number of patients for a single doctor. Registration is provided for stays which are longer than three months, in the following cases:
- Salaried employees or self-employed workers in Italy;
- Family members (non-EU citizens included) of salaried employees or self-employed workers in Italy;
- Family members of Italian citizens;
- Residents who hold a certificate of “permanent residence”, accrued after at least 5 years of residence in Italy;
- Unemployed persons registered to job seeker's lists, who are in a involuntary unemployment status, after over a year of duly substantiated working activity;
- Persons who hold one of the following EU forms: S1 (ex E106, E109, E120, E121)

- Employment contract, in the case of salaried employees
