Epidemiology and Prophylaxis Service

It deals with the vaccination service, as provided for by the 820/12 decree, "Lifetime Vaccination Schedule" ("Calendario vaccinale per la vita"). Updated from DA 1965/2017.
Vaccinations against infectious diseases that can be prevented by the means of vaccines:

• Mandatory and recommended pediatric vaccinations (diphtheria – tetanus – pertussis - polio - haemophilus influenzae type b - hepatitis B) 13-valent pneumococcal vaccine, rotavirus, measles, rubella, parotitis, varicella, HPV in adolescents;
• Vaccinations for adults upon request (law enforcement, laborers at risk, etc.);
• Vaccinations for travellers (workers, missionaries, tourists, etc.) headed to countries with epidemic risks (yellow fever, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, tetanus, typhus, meningitis);
• Influenza vaccinations, from November to January, to children and adults that belong to groups at risk;
• Pneumococcal vaccination to adults, as provided for by the Regional Notice n. 23708/2013.

Reservation is required in order to access the vaccination centers of the Province. The invitation to the first vaccination is carried out by letter, otherwise reservation can be performed in Municipal vaccination centers or by phone.
