Breast Unit

The Breast Unit is a modern instrument for supporting patients who suffer from breast cancer.

It is characterized by a uniform and multidisciplinary process, with a procedure that involves diagnostic investigations, aimed at early diagnosis, in-depth examinations, medical-surgical therapy and inherited risk factors management.

The activity is supported by volunteer organizations.

A.S.P. Ragusa provides patients with breast screening services, surgical and oncological therapies. Plastic surgery is employed, as for the delicate aspect of reconstruction. The joint application of breast-conserving surgery and radiotherapy represents an innovative aspect, which ensures patients high recovery rates and better aesthetic results.
