The Clinical Engineering Service performs activities pertaining Institutional Accreditation. It manages the electromedical equipment which is used in Health Facilities, by ensuring its safety and efficiency and overseeing it in its entire life cycle, from evaluation of purchase up to its disposal.
It tests biomedical equipment and performs controls on its safety and functionality. Moreover, it manages its related inventory. It periodically monitors the compliance of the equipment to the regulations in force, by analyzing its adequacy and obsolescence. The administration and the control of the expenditure pertaining the management and the maintenance of the equipment, fall within the competence of the Service.
