The Direction of Pharmacy has the function of planning, coordinating and ensuring hospital pharmaceutical assistance, by performing the following activities:
- it provides pharmaceutical assistance to the patients who are hospitalized, to those who have been discharged, as well as to those who access the hospital for specialist medical examinations or for preparing pain treatment via specific request.
- It monitors prescriptions, in order to improve correct medicines use.
- It promotes activities of medicines and medical devices monitoring, and develops plans for reducing the risk of errors in therapies.
- It produces personalized Infusion therapies (antineoplastic therapies, neonatal parenteral nutrition, pain treatment) and magistral or officinal galenical preparations (eye drops, orphan and investigational medicines, pediatric doses, solutions, syrups, capsules, preparations for topical use) in the hospital compounding laboratory – U.F.A. (Unità Farmaci Antiblastici – Unit for Antineoplastic Medicines).

Logistics Warehouse
Opening hours:- From Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
- Saturdays and days before Public Holidays 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
- Operative Units must submit computerized applications for ordinary supplying according to the agreed schedule; urgent cases also follow an agreed and codified procedure.

U.F.A. Hospital Compounding laboratory
Opening hours:- From Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

CANCER TREATMENTS
The Laboratory prepares the scheduled treatments, submitted by means of computerized procedures by the Operative Units of Oncology, Urology and Hematology, the day before to that scheduled for the administration. Treatments are delivered in good time for morning and afternoon turns of administration to patients.
NEONATAL PARENTERAL NUTRITIONS
All the treatments for the little patients, scheduled or urgent, are prepared within the day of application.
HOSPITAL COMPOUNDING
(EYE DROPS, CAPSULES, OINTMENTS, SOLUTIONS, REAGENTS) The Laboratory daily prepares orphan medicines and medicines with personalized doses, according to scheduled requests or as needed. As for orphan medicines, which are not available on the market, the Laboratory produces preparations also for non-hospitalized patients.

Pharmacy for discharged patients
Opening hours:- From Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
- By means of the distribution of the first course of treatment, patients can begin and/or continue the therapy prescribed within A.S.P., ensuring therefore the continuity of treatment between hospital and territory.
Patients are requested to have the health insurance card and a medical prescription, written by the attending physician and filled out in its entirety.
